Cookie Policy
Last updated 19 September 2026
The few cookies and browser-storage items ELX uses, and why.
1.What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature. ELX uses both, sparingly, for the purposes below.
2.What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| elx_token | Cookie — strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. | 24 hours |
| theme | Local storage — preference | Remembers light or dark mode. | Until you clear it |
| analytics_session_id | Local storage — first-party analytics | An anonymous identifier used to count page visits on ELX. It is not shared with anyone. | Until you clear it |
| Stripe cookies | Third-party — strictly necessary for payments | Set by Stripe on payment screens for fraud prevention. | See Stripe’s policy |
3.What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no social-media pixels.
4.Controlling them
You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking the elx_token cookie means you cannot stay signed in.
5.Changes and contact
If we add a cookie, we update this page first. Questions: contact@elx.com. See also the Privacy Policy.
